HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THE BLACK PANTHER MOVIE IS HERE!!!!! (short commercial break and cut back to me screaming) The Black Panther is one of the most exciting movies of the year, and the moment the lights dim and the screen comes alive, you know it's worth it. Black Panther is the story of Wakanda, a technologically advanced nation that has hidden itself away from the rest of the world. But now, with the new king on the throne, he must decide the fate of the country and the world around him. First of all, let's just have a small slideshow of the gorgeous people in this. Now, back to HOW AWESOME THIS MOVIE IS  First of all, the accent pulled off by a largely British and American cast is incredible. Chadwick Boseman stars as T'Challa who is taking over the kingdom of Wakanda. Michael B Jordan, known most for 'Creed', is the antagonist of the story. Lupita Nyong'o is Naqia, the king's love. Letitia Wright plays his incredibly smart princess of
Learn to Love Yourself  Learn to love yourself To look at your face in the mirror, When all the makeup’s off, When your eyes are plain and your lips are dry, Your eyebrows are all over the place and you’re left wondering why Your pock marks are visible and that pimple has been bared Your flawed skin is finally seeing the light of day and you wonder how you’ve fared How you’ve fared in terms of beauty And I’m not talking about all the inner beauty shit Because we are vain animals, and always will be, We will judge everyone upfront on what we see, And that’s okay Just make sure that’s not the only impression you have Decide for yourself today that the only impression that matters to you is your own So, look at yourself often In the mirror, in shopping windows, Even on the surface of puddles, Border your self appreciation just one point below Narcissus And look what it does for your confidence, Those plain black eyes have a twinkle, Those dry

It will get better.

It will get better. It will get better. It will get better. It will get better. I whisper to myself as I lie curled up on the bed. There are no fights going on in the house. There is no painful circumstance that i find myself in. There is nothing that should be causing me sadness or anxiety. yet in my mind, everything is disintegrating. my life is a mess, nothing will ever be alright. i will never succeed, and worst of all, nobody will care. in my mind, every fear of mine has realized, every boggart of mine has crept out of the closet, is taking up shape, and is creeping towards me with every passing moment. there are several people i could talk to, but very few that would make me feel better. every light in my house is on and the temperature is perfect, but my heart is sinking lower and lower into the endless pit of darkness. there is an inner me that is shaking with terror, surrounded by faceless monsters about to engulf her. and there is absolutely no e

Red.

she walked the expanse of the desert barefoot,  behind her, she dragged a bloodied sword,  her feet burnt against the parched and cracked earth  and her head ached under the unforgiving sun,  but she didn't feel it all she felt was the blood on her hands,  and her dress, the red blotched on the colourful ghaghra her payal rang out in the silent afternoon and  finally, she found what she was looking for - a tree she was traded she was pushed aside she was mistreated and the worst part was that she thought perhaps it was deserved she thought that it was her fault that her father died soon after her birth,  that her mother had to remarry for her sake,  but it didn't seem like a fault at the time,  her step father was a good man,  he was fine....until she died,  Radha's mother left her as abruptly as her father had,  left her all alone, and even though there were crowds at her house days after the funeral,  she saw no one less tha

This Week on #ForTheFirstTime - Amit Trivedi Live @ Pune!

I recently went to my very first concert out of Mumbai (!!!!).....with my mom..... (yes i was able to make things uncool within a minute) But it was an amazing experience! My mother received free tickets and like the Gujjus we are, we decided to take off to Pune to redeem them. I've heard of Amit Trivedi, as has almost everyone, but he is one of the low key artists of our country, who shy away from publicity and speculation. We only knew him by his music, and that was more than enough to get us to travel four hours for it. We caught the Ahmedabad Express and within a couple of hours, there we were! We arrived at around 5 in the evening. As we got off the train into the sunny evening, we lugged our bags onto the footpath curb to wait for our Uber. (POOL IS EVERYTHING) Within a couple of minutes, we were in the hotel, settling in. However, we didn't have much time to rest before the performance, and so we took off again towards Phoenix Market City. (sidenote: I take it

#ForTheFirstTime

Okay, so I'm starting a hashtag to sound cool and to force myself to write regularly. #ForTheFirstTime is something that makes sense for me currently, because I'm at an age where I'm trying out many different things and would like to write about my experiences
