The Black Panther
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THE BLACK PANTHER MOVIE IS HERE!!!!!
(short commercial break and cut back to me screaming)

The Black Panther is one of the most exciting movies of the year, and the moment the lights dim and the screen comes alive, you know it's worth it.
Black Panther is the story of Wakanda, a technologically advanced nation that has hidden itself away from the rest of the world. But now, with the new king on the throne, he must decide the fate of the country and the world around him.

First of all, let's just have a small slideshow of the gorgeous people in this.
Now, back to HOW AWESOME THIS MOVIE IS
First of all, the accent pulled off by a largely British and American cast is incredible.
Chadwick Boseman stars as T'Challa who is taking over the kingdom of Wakanda. Michael B Jordan, known most for 'Creed', is the antagonist of the story. Lupita Nyong'o is Naqia, the king's love. Letitia Wright plays his incredibly smart princess of the nation and Danai Gurira plays the General of the Wakandan forces.
An all black cast and the representation of women in the film was a breakthrough for Marvel, but that is not the only reason this film is amazing. The action showcased is absolutely different. Marvel has been careful to inculcate African culture deep into the movie. It has interwoven beautifully a world where technology and tradition work hand in hand.
The action is something that stands out in the film. It is an absolutely different style from the ones showcased in other superhero and Marvel movies. The tribal and royal culture necessitates weapons like swords and shields, but the technology that accompanies it is no short of incredible. Also seen in the film are Forest Whitaker, who I personally LOVED in 'The Last King of Scotland', and Daniel Kaluuya, from 'Get Out'.
Interestingly, the king is not the subject of importance throughout the film. A history is established for all the characters and the way their ideals are revealed are also excellently written.

The selection of music for Marvel has always been quite good, recently having improved drastically in 'The Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Thor: Ragnarok', but this movie really takes it to another level. Every score and song is a gift, beautifully set in with every scene. You will definitely go back home and check out the songs after you watch the movie.
Overall, I would give 4.5 stars for the entire film.
I highly recommend this film, both for comic enthusiasts and otherwise. It's one of the few movies that is absolutely worth the hype.
